The St. John's Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner is a popular local event that supports the Mountain Family Center and Samaritan Ministries
The Mountain Family Center, located in Granby, is a local non-profit organization that receives ongoing support from St. John’s. The second Sunday of each month is our Ingathering of items for the food bank at Mountain Family Center. The center serves residents of Grand County with the food bank, a thrift store, and sponsorship of a food tote program for children who may experience food insecurity over the weekends and school holidays.
Items most frequently needed by the food bank include: cereal, instant oatmeal packets, protein bars, canned soups, canned fruit, pasta and pasta sauce, canned meats, personal hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, diapers, baby wipes, dish soap, toilet paper, dish soap and laundry soap.
Recently merged with the Senior Services of Grand County, the center now serves all ages, and is the local partner for many of the state and federal family support programs offered in the count
Through support of Mountain Family Center, St. Johns strives to be the “hands and feet of Christ” as we reach out to our brothers and sisters in Grand County.
